The most adventurous way to get to Machu Picchu along impressive highlands and biking downhill to the high jungle also a unique trekking on a section of the original Inca trail, some optional activities like rafting, zip-line and at the end the magnificent view of Machu Picchu.

Day 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Malaga pass - Santa Maria
Our bus will pick you up from your accommodation at 7:00 am to drive up and down the mountains to stop at Ollantaytambo for an optional breakfast, afterward you still drive up to Malaga pass to start biking downhill for 3 hours to Santa Maria where you will have lunch also sleeping in a local hostel.
This day you can go to the river for rafting otherwise just relax for the next day.

Day 2: Santa Maria - Quellomayu - Santa Teresa
After a fresh breakfast (tropical fruits are eaten) you will start trekking some flat and uphill to the high jungle for 2 hours and downhill along an original section of the Inca trail to have lunch at Quellomayu and also resting on traditional hammocks.
You still have a couple hours to get to the clean and natural hot springs of Cocalmayu, where you will spend 1 hour at least.
So you still have to continue to Santa Teresa to sleep in a hostel and hot shower.
You could have a nice night at the tourist discos in Santa Teresa but keep calm for the optional zip line the next day.

Day 3: Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town).
This is going to be the easiest day because you only walk 3 hours along the road to Hydroelectric for lunch and another 3 hours along the train track to get to Aguas Calientes, but instead walking the first 3 morning hours you could have fun on the optional zip line near Santa Teresa which takes almost 2 hours and a bus will leave you at Hydroelectric.
Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
This day you have to wake up very early at 4:00 am to start walking at 4:30 am so you will get to Machu Picchu by 6:00 am where you still have a guided tour for 2 hours, afterwards you can explore the site until 11:45 am because you have to start walking to the bottom and back to Hydroelectric to take a bus to Cusco.

Notice: You have another option to comeback to Cusco by train, check availability at www.perurail.com so the train ride takes 2 hours from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and 2 hours by bus from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.
